Physical Therapy Clinic

Hearts in Motion has improved the lives of the people of Zapaca in many different ways.  One of them is through their Physical Therapy Clinic.  This clinic provides much needed services to the poorest of poor in the region.  Four of the students (Hannah, Molly, Andrew, and Alex) along with Mary Helene volunteered one morning to assist in treating these people in need.

While there, a woman who had just lost her 6 year old daughter came in to donate the child's wheelchair.  It was very emotional for the students to read her letter of how she wanted her loss to be a new beginning for another child.  Later that morning, a young boy was carried in by his mother.  He had craniosynostosis and was in desperate need of a chair.  Alex spent the rest of the morning fitting the newly donated chair to this boy.

  2. I'm reaching for the Kleenex, too...in so short a time, you've made a world of difference to so many. Dad says you're a "natural", Molly, and I may sound like a broken record but we are so very proud! Love you!
